Russ Walden returned to Milledgeville with his wife, Anne, in 2002 after having spent 39 years outside of the Southeast. He retired from a career with Eli Lilly and Company in 1994 after serving in a variety of management assignments. Following his retirement, he became a consulting volunteer for Executive Service Corps and also established his own consulting practice.
Since returning to Milledgeville, Russ has become involved in several community and volunteer activities. He serves on the Foundation Boards of both Georgia Military College and Georgia College. He chairs the Administrative Council of the First United Methodist Church and serves on the Homes and Homeless Council of the North Georgia Methodist Conference. He and his wife, Anne, are also Meals on Wheels volunteers. He recently completed his second term on the Board of Georgia’s Old Capital Museum.
